Vacuum packaging is a packaging method that removes air from the package before sealing. The purpose of vacuum packaging is usually to remove oxygen from the container to extend the shelf life of food, and flexible packaging is used to reduce the volume of contents and packaging.
Vacuum packaging reduces the oxygen in the atmosphere, thereby limiting the growth of aerobic bacteria or fungi and preventing evaporation of volatile components.
