Barcode is a graphical identifier that represents a set of information by arranging multiple black bars and spaces of varying widths according to certain coding rules.
Food packaging bags belong to goods, and the barcode of the goods includes the codes and barcode identification of retail goods, non retail goods, logistics units, and locations.
Features:
There is a principle of uniqueness in product barcodes, where a product item has only one unique code and no second identical code will appear. Products with different specifications, packaging, varieties, prices, and colors can only use different product codes.
Currently, there are two commonly used product barcodes internationally:
(1) EAN-13 (Standard Edition)
(2) EAN-8 (shortened version)
The first type: EAN-13 universal commodity bar code generally consists of prefix, manufacturer code, commodity code and Check digit.
The prefix code in the product barcode is a code used to identify a country or region, and the code is assigned by the International Association for Item Coding, such as 00-09 representing the United States and Canada. 45 and 49 represent Japan. 69 stands for Chinese Mainland, 471 stands for Taiwan, and 489 stands for Hong Kong SAR.
The commodity code is the code used to identify the commodity. The right to assign the code is exercised by the product manufacturing enterprise itself. The manufacturing enterprise decides which Arabic numerals to use on its own commodities according to the specified conditions.
At the end of the commodity barcode, a 1-digit Check digit is used to verify the correctness of the 1-12 digit code from the left in the commodity barcode.
The second type: EAN-8 product barcode refers to an 8-digit product barcode used for identification, consisting of a 7-digit product item code and a 1-digit checksum
